Children's Mental Health
- The National Health and Nutritional Examination Survey looked into well
being of the nation's children. Dr. Kathleen Merikangas of the National
Institute of Mental Health was the lead author of the survey that tracked
mental disorders in children and how many of those surveyed received

- Child Trends, with support from Casey Family Programs, launched the
State Child
Welfare Policy Database, to provide information on child welfare laws,
procedures, and agency guidance for all 50 states and the District of
Columbia. The Database can help elected officials, administrators,
advocates, practitioners, researchers, and other stakeholders keep up to
date with the policies that protect our nation's most vulnerable children.
