Behavioral Health Constituency Section Steering Committee 2010 Meeting Dates


The Division of Mental Health 2010 Consumer Education & Support Statewide Call-in Series: "New Perspectives for a New Decade" - All calls are from 10:00-11:30a.m. Central Time. Communication alerts with the dial-in number, password and handouts for each month will be posted closer to program dates.

  • August 26: New Perspectives on Turning Challenges into Opportunities
  • September 23: New Perspectives on Living Independently
  • October 28: New Perspectives on Thriving in Times of Change

The Mental Health Authority Education Committee is sponsoring the following workshops at the Blessing Conference Center in Quincy (click here for further information):

  • September 24: PTSD and Returning Veterans
  • October 22: Families Under Stress

October 26: Regional Update on Behavioral Emergencies. Sponsored by Sinai Health System. The conference will provide CME and continuing education credit of approximately 8-12 hours. The overall objective of this CME activity is to improve the knowledge base and collaboration among care givers in the emergency and acute care setting for patients who present with psychiatric symptoms. The target audience includes emergency physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, mental health workers, social workers, and physician assistants.
