March 23, 2009 2008 Workforce ProfileAs you know, IHA members have identified workforce-related challenge issues as a focus of concern for several years. In 2008, the newly formed IHA Workforce Task Force directed staff to collect data on workforce shortages across the state to serve as a benchmark for future trending, to assist in communicating hospitals’ workforce challenges to outside interests, and to offer support for ongoing strategic planning at the Association and member hospitals. The final report from that survey is enclosed for your information and review (click here). If your hospital participated in the survey, you will receive shortly a second report that compares your hospital’s data to data for a peer group of hospitals that you chose. This report is available for download and the graphics it contains can be downloaded in a Power Point format (click here).
