Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) Provider Releases Monthly Summaries

• September 2010:
  - Annual Determination Letters for Supplemental Payments (9/1/10)
  The rate year 2011 DSH, Medicaid Percentage Adjustment, and Medicaid High Volume Adjustment determinations have been avoidably delayed and will not be available until Friday, Sept. 17. See HFS web site.
  - Reporting of the Prescriber's National Provider Identifier (NPI) (9/1/10)
  Important reminder that the prescribing practitioner's NPI must be reported on all prescriptions. The Department requires pharmacies to report the identification number on all pharmacy claims. Effective Sept. 15, the Department will reject pharmacy claims that do not contain the prescriber's NPI. See HFS Notice for more information.
