Commercial Health InsuranceWhile State laws related to commercial health insurance
may not cover all enrollees within Illinois,
legislation still carries significant impact. You will find relevant information

commercial health insurance.
- JCAR Agenda Item #38: Workers' Compensation Commission
IHA letter to JCAR strongly objecting to this rule because the supposed
problem it seeks to address is not a true "emergency" worthy of such
extraordinary emergency rulemaking. In addition, this rule plainly fails to
avert a threat to public welfare because a hospital's implant charges for
workers' compensation patients can hardly have a significant impact on our
unemployment figures. More information.
- 2010 Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission (IWCC) Medical Fees Will Go Down 1.48%
Section 8.2(a) of the Illinois Workers' Compensation Act provides that each
year, fee schedule rates shall increase or decrease by the percentage change
in the Consumer Price Index-U (CIP-U) in the previous year. Because the
CPI-U decreased 1.48% between August 2008 and August 2009, rates will
decrease 1.48% for treatment on or after January 1, 2010.
- Workers' Compensation Inpatient Fee Schedule
As provided in IWCC rules, as of June 30, 2009, the inpatient fee schedule
is to be in accordance with the MS-DRG codes. The IWCC MS-DRG hospital
inpatient fee schedule can be
viewed here.
