May 4, 2010 Initiative for Critical Access Hospitals Receives Final Legislative ApprovalWe are pleased to report that House Bill 5765 was overwhelmingly approved by the Illinois Senate this morning on a vote of 50-2. The bill, which requires that reimbursement to Critical Access Hospitals for Medicaid outpatient services be based on cost, now goes to the Governor. We thank and commend members for their outstanding efforts and advocacy that helped make this success possible in a challenging political and fiscal environment.
